Graça, The Easy Drinking Mediterranean-Style White Wine

Graça had been part of the South African culture for nearly 30 years, making its first appearance in 1983. Ever since it has built up quite a popular following and has become part of the furniture in our beloved country.

It is a non vintage wine which comprises of 3 varietals – Sauvignon Blanc, Semillion and Colombard. Upon opening it you notice a slight hint of bubbles, enhancing the flavours just a bit. I find it a very easy drinkable white which can appeal to all palates of different sorts. Definitely a wine to be paired with a mouth-watering paella or a seafood platter.

Graca can also be enjoyed as a Rose, replacing the Sauvignin blanc for Pinotage. You can find these wines in smaller bottles of 375ml (Bambino) as well as the standard size 750ml going for R28. This talking, eating, drinking, laughing, sharing vino definitely gets a thumbs up from me!
